Letter From the Principal

Welcome to La Vista High School for the 2007/08 school year. It is my great honor to be the Principal of this California Model Continuation High School. We provide unique opportunities for our students that comprehensive high schools cannot. As you browse this site, many of your questions will be answered. Our professional and highly trained staff members are very proud of the programs offers and successes we have experienced to date. The Academic Excellence Committee has taken the school in a direction emphasizing the rigor students need to be competitive beyond high school. Most students have responded positively to the individualized plans prepared for them by staff members.

La Vista High School asks students to prepare for success by doing the following:

  1. Expect the best of yourself - do not settle for mediocre or poor performance.
  2. Respect yourself and respect others.
  3. Find out exactly what you need for graduation - set your goals accordingly.

Students are recognized through Perfect Attendance Awards, Outstanding Student of the Month awards and sponsored scholarships awarded at the end of the school year. La Vista High School offers instructional and skills-based programs which provide students with every opportunity to succeed. It is our task to provide these programs within our school in comfortable, clean, and safe facilities. All La Vista High School Staff members are looking forward to another excellent year. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.
